Job Summary:

Purpose and Scope:




The Warehouse Specialist at the Ammunition Supply Point (ASP) will issue, store, and account for ammunition and explosives of various types. Conduct I 00% joint visual inventory of all ammunition and explosive items issued. Accept and process ammunition and explosives turn-ins. Resolve turn-in discrepancies. Conduct a I 00% joint visual inspection with units of ammunition and explosives residue and packing materials. nd explosives items and quarterly inventory all ASP assets. Process small arms ammunition discrepancies.




Essential Responsibilities:



  • Inventory assets monthly of all CIIC I ammunition.

  • Load and unload commercial shipments of ammunition and explosives at the ASP within two hours of truck arrival.

  • Provide escort for ASP customers when required, identify shortages to ASP Supervisor or his designated representative with discrepancy of shipment on the DA Form 1348-1.

  • Prepare and mark light boxes and non-standard packs IA W standard operating procedures. Prepare and annotate appropriate forms for receipt, store and issue of ammunition, and ensure ammunition is stored in magazines IA W security and compatibility requirements and shipping documents.

  • Provide proper ammunition and explosives storage and safety IAW DA PAM385-64. AR385-64, DOD4145.19-Rl, TM 743-200-1, FM9-38, and IMCOM REGS-13.

  • Monitor area and repo11 any physical security or safety violations to the ASP Supervisor immediately. Complete the NAC background check and obtain computer access.

  • Clean surrounding areas and ensure that the section is kept safe at all times.

  • Position may be required to work in other areas.



Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:




Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting up to 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/or organizing skills, and musts be able to work under deadlines. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position may require travel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a United States Citizen.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

  • Minimum of two years experience storing, issuing, and receiving ammunition and explosive items.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Forklift Operator's license required.
