Overview


The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a robust global supply chain strategy for purchasing and sourcing of the raw materials, components and finished goods required to support and meet customer order requirements. This includes purchasing, supplier management and development and logistics for all manufacturing locations while coordinating and collaborating with the local operations teams. Responsible for guiding the work of supply chain associates in all locations in co-ordination with the local operations teams.


Qualifications



  • Associates degree preferred.

  • 7 years' + operations purchasing and logistics experience with global perspective.

  • ACIPS certification or similar preferred.

  • MRP/ERP experience.

  • Results orientated.

  • Team player.


Responsibilities



  • PURCHASE & SOURCING: Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of the supply chain function for the Group's manufacturing operations, as well as the planning and directing of all activities that relate to or effect the indirect and direct supply base with the Regions. Reviews and establishes policy and procedure when dealing with suppliers. Ensures that third party operations in the supply chain do not impact facility performance negatively, driving continuous improvement opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency within operations. Sourcing of new suppliers to manage and minimize the risks that could interrupt or affect the supply chain. This position must balance all aspects of the global supply chain such as price, delivery, quality, lead time, inventory, customer satisfaction and the overall supplier relationship. Through supplier negotiations achieves the lowest total cost for components and finished goods. Heading up large negotiations and has direct responsibility for performance of the Group's top vendors, achieving lowest total costs. Has forecasting and budgetary control.

  • LOGISTICS: Responsible for logistics globally for shipments within the Group supply chain, with heavy emphasis on cost control, service and tracking visibility. Ensures that all global imports and exports are in compliance with local customs rules and regulations. Manages contracts to ensure compliance with terms and pricing. Develops effect communication and processes with logistics vendors.

  • SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT & SUPPLIER QUALITY ASSURANCE: Responsible for the activity of supplier development within Group. Resolves Supply Chain issues to identify root cause of supplier problems and drive corrective actions (environment, quality, delivery and cost). Manages the accuracy of vendors and the item master data in SYSPRO.

  • Manages accurate standard product costing for assigned materials and components within the Group.
