We have an opportunity for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Plainfield, IL team. You will be responsible for supporting leadership's growth strategy and leading pricing processes for the Commercial Services business. This role will be responsible for pricing strategy and execution, covering both standard service programs and national deployments across a broad customer base. Additionally, the role will assist in the development and implementation of pricing processes, guidelines, and tools to ensure the business achieves its growth and profitability goals.


You will:



  • Be a valued and integral part of our global organization, engaging with various levels of leadership.

  • Lead/Develop pricing processes and be viewed as a change agent, team role model, and business partner.

  • Drive continuous improvement and lead Pricing processes by:

  • Building pricing and quoting tools to help the business model, predict and drive profitable growth in the business.

  • Utilizing systems and tools to monitor pricing trends, effectiveness of programs, identify key issues and resolve discrepancies.

  • Partnering strategically with Finance, Service Management, Sales and Marketing to drive informed insights into the business, while ensuring pricing and discount strategies are aligned with business goals.

  • Performing price realization analyses to support monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual planning processes.

  • Supporting the rollout of new processes and systems to improve pricing accuracy and efficiency.

  • Analyzing significant variances from planned/forecasted and historical price realization in order to provide recommendations to management.

  • Developing in-depth knowledge of the company's operations, key industries, major competitors, and market trends.

  • Become proficient in Pentair's ERP systems and reporting software.


  • Support Leadership with analysis of various ad-hoc projects; growth initiatives, portfolio management (product/customer), rebate/discount programs, etc.



  • Help standardize and improve key processes and reporting for the Commercial Services team in a culture that fosters respect and teamwork, positive energy, customer first, absolute integrity, innovation and adaptability, and accountability for performance.


Key Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management or Marketing, MBA is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in Pricing, Finance, Marketing, Service, Sales or similar field.

  • Have experience in pricing and quoting in B2B environments with strong business acumen.

  • Have high attention to detail and the ability to summarize and reconcile large quantities of data as well as experience in building pricing models and frameworks.

  • Have strong PC skills with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Access and ERP systems (SAP, JDE, QAD or similar systems).

  • Able to travel up to 10% to other company sites or attend offsite training as needed.
