Registered Nurse ICU:


The ICU/CCU department is an 18+ bed unit in which the RN manages the nursing care of critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. The Intensive Care Unit at St Mark’s Hospital is the largest general ICU in the state. With cardiac, neuro, trauma, respiratory and medical ICU patients, the variety of patients is unmatched. The unit is busy with high acuity, but the “one team, one goal” mentality among the nurses, ancillary staff, and providers, make for a positive work environment where everyone feels supported and needed. The teamwork and comradery makes our unit truly feel like a family.



Our ICU nurses have a great deal of autonomy. Critical thinking and intuitive nursing judgement are crucial to the success of the team, and ultimately patient outcomes. Our physicians and mid-level providers are present, invested, and provide loving, goal-oriented care to our patients and their families. Minimum Qualifications:


Education:


Graduate from an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred.


Experience:


Two+ years previous critical care nursing experience required.


Licensure/Certifications:


Current licensure as an RN for the state of Utah. Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS and ACLS).
