As an Engineering Intern in the Manufacturing Technology Development group at Micron Technology, you'll join our team in supporting our 300mm semiconductor processes and equipment used at a state-of-the-art fabrication facility. Typical Internships will be for the summer months, and will be located in Boise, Idaho. We will assign you a project that is intended to last the duration of your 3-month internship and will occupy most of your time. Training in our safety procedures, and for the operations required for your assignment are vital to ensure a safe working experience. The internship may involve working in the clean room fabrication environment during a portion of the internship. We expect a verbal presentation on your project results, near the end of your internship.


Responsibilities:



  • Possess a continuous improvement process (CIP) mentality looking for ways to improve the predictive model, and how to make a difference today!

  • Utilize data science and statistical modeling to find new innovate solutions to problems.

  • Uncover patterns in the data from which predictive models, impactful insights or solutions can be developed with the mentality of "how can I improve this?"

  • Learn how our customers use the data today with the intent of improving the user experience.

  • Present data analysis to customers in a clear and concise manor.

  • We expect active participation in technical meetings and then synthesize from it new opportunities or novel approaches


Qualifications:



  • Intermediate knowledge of Python.

  • Familiarity with machine learning models and their applications.

  • Experience solving complex problems using statistical analysis.

  • The ability work on multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize issues and tasks.

  • Willingness to work any shift, including periodic rotations and some overtime.

  • Excellent technical, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Possess a continuous improvement process (CIP) demeanor, looking for ways to improve operations, and how to make a difference today!

  • We need an intern drawn to creative problem solving and innovative solutions.

  • Recognize, identify, and raise awareness of process anomalies with the motivation of "who needs to know this now!"


Education:
