Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to contribute to our team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville.  In this role, you sell IBC wholesale programs and services to assigned accounts in assigned sales regions.  You will partner with, work closely with, and assist the Field Representative in growing the account base and maximizing sales within assigned regions. In addition, you will develop, maintain, and grow relationships with assigned IBC customers. Further, you will respond to customers on product information, address issues, and train the accounts on how to effectively utilize our B2B (ipage) platform. Finally, this person will negotiate and sell the company’s programs and services.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of book retail sales or telemarketing sales experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of and experience in the publishing industry
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grows assigned accounts by performing sales activities
  • Contacts assigned accounts via telephone, video, and email to increase sales and to present Ingram wholesale programs and services
  • Keeps customers informed about new services or products
  • Provides merchandising assistance and systems maintenance to maintain proper communications, ordering, and shipping delivery to customers 
  • Provides Ingram with market information and actively participates in the development of new programs and services that meet the needs of the market
  • Provides exceptional outgoing and incoming telephone/video customer service and support to customers, including technology/system product training as required
  • Works with the other Ingram departments and business units to effectively manage and support assigned accounts
  • Helps to coordinate trade show meetings to represent program and services to attendees
  • Determines customer needs and effectively communicates customer needs with management
