The Engineering Support Assistant performs a variety of tasks to support the day-to-day activities of the Product Development department and provides assistance for specialized tooling and R&D projects. This involves maintaining documentation; placing orders for tools, office supplies, and other departmental needs; completing physical transfers of guitars and tools; data entry and other general administrative tasks.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Transfers tools to Manufacturing and other destinations.


  • Creates and submits documentation describing the physical characteristics and purpose of tools for review and archival.

  • Orders parts and raw materials for the Tooling shop; orders miscellaneous office supplies for the Product Development department.

  • Completes / coordinates local pickups and deliveries using a company-owned vehicle.

  • Assists with organization of Engineering tasks, including assigning work order numbers and archiving documentation from closed jobs and projects.

  • Manages stock of consumables produced by Tooling for various Manufacturing departments using our 2-bin system.

  • Transfers guitars and other Finished Goods between Manufacturing, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Marketing.

  • Coordinates sending and receiving samples and tests parts, between internal departments and with external vendors.

  • Collects and submits timesheet data from Engineering personnel for accounting purposes.

  • Creates ID tags for new Tooling using a laser engraving machine.

  • Performs general data entry and assists with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:


Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.



Computer Skills
: Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications.



Certifications & Licenses:
Ability to qualify to drive a company vehicle. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have a clean driving record for company insurance coverage
