About the Role:


The Digital Analyst for Digital Mortgage Product is responsible for contributing to and executing against the strategic plan for enhancing the capabilities of our products across Laurel Road's Lines of Business. With a desire to innovate and think Digital first, your objectives will be focused on building out great customer experiences to achieve maximum engagement and client satisfaction.


At Laurel Road we are looking for passionate, multi-disciplinary product owners who are as comfortable leading a brainstorm as they are building a data model. We need product owners who will obsess as much about the customer experience as they will about the business benefit. This is a fast moving, high-energy environment where the right individual can make a difference on the client experience.


Essential Functions



  • Work closely with business and technology on the implementation of business digital product features, to ensure requirements and high level of quality are met

  • Translate high level requirements into detailed specifications, following up with subject matter experts as needed

  • Create and Maintain Centralized Documentation – document processes, maintain requirements, and update product functionals in the centralized location such that stakeholders have up to date access

  • Test Plan Documentation and Execution – document user scenarios for features in a test plan and confirm engineering deliverables are in tolerance

  • Closely partner with multiple stakeholders to help identify, mitigate, fix and report on issues as needed

  • Work closely with stakeholders and production teams to ensure consumer complaints, issues, bugs and defects are fixed accordingly

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Conduct market research to better understand client needs and satisfaction with digital experience and service

  • Learn some of the QA tools to help exercise the product (ie. Postman for REST endpoints)

  • Help develop strategic change and drive change management and business transformation efforts.

  • Partner closely with data and business teams and support them with high-quality reporting and analytics.

  • Develop reports, analysis and insights based upon quantitative and qualitative data.


Required Qualifications



  • Undergraduate degree in business, science, math, English, or equivalent

  • High comfort level with digital tools (PCs, Mobile Devices, Tablets)

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills

  • Exhibit problem solving and negotiating skills to resolve difficult and sometimes controversial issues

  • Proven ability to work in a project environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision


Preferred Qualification



  • Experience with User Interface design and Usability testing

  • Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)

  • Experience working in an Agile project/environment

  • Familiarity with financial products and services
