Cybersecurity SME Supporting the CISA Cybersecurity Advisory Committee

In support of the Department of Homeland Securitys Stakeholder Engagement Division (SED), under the newly created Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Perspecta provides cybersecurity SME support for the newly established CISA Cybersecurity Advisory Committee (CCAC). The CCAC was established to consult on the development, refinement, and implementation of policies, programs, planning, and training pertinent to the mission of CISA. Perspecta is seeking a cybersecurity SME who can support this committee as a cybersecurity advisory and researcher.

The Cybersecurity SME will be supporting the CCAC as an advisor, supporting the CCAC program office with an understanding of cybersecurity practices, policies and programs. In this role the candidate will need to be able to research, understand and present complex cybersecurity concepts. Provide feedback and recommendations for cybersecurity study topics to be addressed by the CCAC. Provide guidance and support to the CCAC management team as a cybersecurity SME, providing a technical viewpoint and understanding.


Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree required and 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity practices, implementation, policies, and/or programs.

  • Knowledge and Experience researching and advising on cybersecurity topics

  • Knowledge of Government cybersecurity policies, procedures, and technologies

  • Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Superior communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Must be a US Citizen, able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance

Desired Skills:

  • DHS Suitability

  • Masters degree or greater in Cybersecurity

  • Experience supporting a council or committee

  • Experience and understanding of DHS cybersecurity programs, initiatives and policies
