The Ceramic Material and Process Engineer Staff will apply composite and ceramic material engineering principles to enable manufacturing (and/or research and development) of high temperature composite and ceramic parts, including ceramic matrix composites, and fabrication methods and associated processes. Materials and Process (M&P) tasks include:


1) Interface with suppliers regarding technical issues concerning raw composite materials, parts fabrication, new materials/processes, and/or review of manufacturing plans


2) Develop and implement composite/ceramic research and/or qualification plans.


3) Material characterization and process development


4) Proper selection of materials and processes for parts and products


5) Participate in non-conformance disposition and corrective action processes


6) Participate in structural lay-outs and design reviews


7) Author composite/ceramic specifications


8) Generate and present technical presentations.


The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.



  • Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected candidate must possess a interim Secret clearance to be considered. *


A level 4 employee Typically has 10 - 15 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications


Engineering or other technical bachelor's (STEM).


Minimum 9 years' experience working/training with composite and/or ceramic materials, processes, fabrication/manufacturing methods, test, or inspection processes.


Experience with ceramic and/or ceramic matrix composite fabrication process development.
