We want our Service Advisors to fully understand the sales process involved with advising service customers about how to properly repair and maintain their cars. We don't want advisors who are order takers, and just nod their heads when the customer is expressing concerns. He or she must have an outgoing personality with expertise in developing relationships and trust, and can provide excellent CSI scores. Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a Plus!! Candidates must have a valid and clean NY driver’s license and must be able to pass a drug test and background check.




Responsibilities include:


  • Interprets the customers description of symptoms

  • Clarifies description of problems so the mechanic can repair the problem correctly

  • Ability to translate complicated terminology into language the customer can understand

  • Works with our customers to schedule service

  • Verifies warranty and service contract coverage

  • Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies and labor including deductibles and sets expectations for cost and completion

  • Prepares repair orders

  • Schedules service for customers either in person or on the phone to ensure a prompt and accurate diagnosis of any problems

  • Makes repair recommendations and manages delivery of repairs by setting and managing customer expectations

  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and follows regulations and standards

  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required

  • Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude, answering any questions and/or directing them to the appropriate person or location

  • Verifies customer appointments and all relevant customer information (name, VIN, tag number, mileage, etc.)




Requirements:


  • Excellent phone, computer & follow-up skills

  • Knowledge of Reynolds and Reynolds a plus

  • Clean & Valid NY State driver’s license

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task

  • Must be an outgoing people person with expertise in developing relationships

  • Customer service focused with a desire for impeccable CSI scores

  • Must be dependable reporting to work every day on time.

  • Ability to address and answer customer requests via phone and e-mail & text

  • Arranges service or repair and sets expectations for cost and completion

  • Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must fully understand the sales process involved with advising service customers about how to properly repair and maintain their cars

  • Must be highly organized with excellent communication skills

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Must have an excellent attendance record and a commitment to being on time

  • Must have a valid and clean NY state driver’s license

  • Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check

  • Must have an outgoing personality (a "people person")

  • Must demonstrate expertise in developing relationships and providing excellent CSI scores
