Job Summary:

We are looking for an Associate Director, Strategic Planning to help support our Company’s direction and develop plans to realize our business objectives, helping Otis maintain its competitive advantage. This position will report to the Executive Vice President, Global Strategy & Business Development and will have supervisory responsibilities for one team member. Position can be remotely based. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identification and evaluation of growth strategies by markets and geographic regions

  • Fact-based analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, and key technology trends

  • Partner across the organization to define strategic roadmaps and assigned strategic dashboards/tracking mechanisms

  • Work with sales and marketing to identify growth opportunities that leverages the breadth of the Company’s capabilities across all business segments

  • Coordinate with key cross-functional contacts globally to develop and execute a holistic strategic planning process

  • Lead the cross-functional strategic planning processes to define plans, priorities, capabilities, and measures of success, including development of standard work

  • Create and deliver strategic presentations tailored to executive audiences

  • Champion use of data solutions and work to create additional solutions to drive operational decision making


  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience


  • 7-10 years of experience in a similar environment or in a planning/consultant role


  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning processes and tools

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including executive leaders

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to plan strategy, tactics and perform root cause analysis

  • Presentation skills to create and deliver appropriate information to a broad audience

  • Ability to aggregate data and systematically apply the data to resolve business problems

  • Knowledge of market research processes

  • Familiarity with project management tools

  • Proficient in using MS Office tools

  • Prior experience managing people

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
