SUMMARY


Provides ongoing office support to the France M. Maguire School of Nursing and Health Professions. Keys information and correspondence using the personal computer, maintains accurate files, schedules appointments, gives information to callers and visitors, and otherwise relieves officials of administrative detail by performing the following duties:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage daily operations of the School, including but not limited to, working with faculty and students, correspondences, filing documents, and ordering supplies.

  • Maintain Dean?s calendar and appointments and assist Associate Dean with appointments

  • Work with Dean on School?s budget, have knowledge of cost centers, handle purchase requisitions, manage TD Bank, document donations, and assist faculty with travel and conference arrangements.

  • Work collaboratively with other Schools within the University and services provided by the University.

  • Work directly with the Dean and the Nursing Advisory Board; arrange and prepare for meetings and correspond with members

  • Mentor and assist in the orientation of new Administrative Assistants for the School

  • Gain indepth knowledge of School?s affiliation agreements with clinical and fieldwork sites

  • Other duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


May supervise students and other temporary or part-time employees in the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the University?s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
